The 57th Annual Talbot Street Art Fair will take place June 9th and 10th, 2012. With over 270 artists from across the nation, this juried art fair continues to be ranked as one of the finest fairs in the country. Fair hours are Saturday 10a- 6p and Sunday 10a- 5p. Talbot Street Art Fair is located between 16th and 20th / Delaware and Pennsylvania - Indianapolis in the historic Herron-Morton Neighborhood. Free to the public, this is a family friendly event with plenty to see and do for everyone.

Indianapolis 500

The Indianapolis 500 is the world’s most famous and prestigious auto race and has taken place annually since 1911 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway (with the only exceptions being 1917-18 and 1942-45 during America’s participation in world wars). “The Greatest Spectacle in Racing” covers 500 miles, marking 200 laps on the famous 2.5-mile oval. It is currently the marquee race on the schedule for the IZOD IndyCar Series, the premier open-wheel racing series in North America. Public gates open from 6 am-6 pm. The day's schedule includes: IZOD Presents Hot Wheels Fearless at the 500 Stunt (9-10:50 am); 1911 Race Cars Parade Lap (9:50 am); Indy 500 Winning Drivers' Parade Lap (10 am); Past Indy 500 Winners Drive Indy 500-Winning Cars (11 am); Driver Introductions (11:30 am); Performances of 'God Bless America' (by Florence Henderson), the national anthem (David Foster, Seal and Kelly Clarkson) and 'Back Home Again in Indiana' (by Jim Nabors) around 11:45 am; and start of 100th Anniversary Indianapolis 500 (200 laps) at noon.
